Our client is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to support our federal customer as part of a team delivering solutions for over 25 mission critical COTS and custom solutions. This position will be foundational to our client’s developing ServiceNow practice and would be an excellent fit for an entrepreneurial individual interested in career advancement.
This position is responsible for core configuration and technical expertise of a federal ServiceNow instance. You will work with a team dedicated to full life-cycle software development and should be able to develop, test, and de-bug ServiceNow software solutions. The successful candidate should have knowledge of a wide range of ServiceNow tools and modules and proven experience with UI principles and business logic.
Location: This position is eligible for fully remote work. The selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, a state supported by our client’s corporate offices (AL, DC, FL, GA, IL, LA, MD, MI, MN, MS, NJ, NC, PA, TN, TX, or VA).
The ideal candidate will have the ability to interface with corporate leaders and guide the adoption of scalable process and design solutions across the federal agency.
The successful candidate will be accountable to:
Participate in full software development life-cycle (SDLC) processes
Design and develop new ServiceNow workflows and integrations according to project, process, and customer objectives
Interpreting customer requirements and analyzing system specifications
Monitoring server activity and ensuring the availability of applications
Conducting review, test, verification, and documentation activities
Advanced UI designs and concepts
Strategic response to vulnerability and bug notifications
Providing related tier 3 and administration support to the helpdesk team as needed
Experience, Education & Training:
Bachelor’s degree in an IT field
5+ years overall software development experience
Strong knowledge base with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and relational databases
3+ years of experience with ServiceNow development including Business Rules, Glide, scripting, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and ACLs
Proven experience with implementing 2 ServiceNow modules to include a ServiceNow ITSM implementation
Demonstrated understanding of best practices in conversion from existing ITSM (e.g. Remedy) and can evaluate an existing ServiceNow ITSM implementation to identify and resolve areas of non-compliance with best practices
Domain expertise in at least 2 ServiceNow products (CRM, ITSM, ITBM, CDMB, etc.); ITSM and Change Management are preferred
Proven experience integrating ServiceNow with other applications using REST/SOAP APIs
Strong ability to troubleshoot ServiceNow and related network and connectivity issues
Excellent communication including the ability to convey and discuss design testing strategies for ServiceNow, applications, and networks; technical writing experience a plus
ServiceNow Certification (preferred)
Clearance Requirements:
A Federal Public Trust clearance is required. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for potential access to classified information. Accordingly, US Citizenship or Green Card is required.
